Olivier Messiaen adalah seorang komposer Perancis, organis dan pakar ornithologist, salah seorang komposer utama abad ke-20. Muziknya rhythmically kompleks; secara harmoni dan melodi sering menggunakan mode transposition yang terbatas, yang ia abstrak dari komposisi awal dan penambahbaikannya.
