Monophysitism, adalah kedudukan Kristologi yang, setelah penyatuan ilahi dan manusia dalam Kejadian bersejarah, Yesus Kristus, sebagai penjelmaan Anak yang kekal atau Firman Tuhan, hanya mempunyai satu "sifat" yang sama ada ilahi atau sintesis ilahi dan manusia. Monophysitism berbeza dengan dyophysitism yang mengekalkan bahawa Kristus mengekalkan dua sifat, satu ilahi dan satu manusia, selepas Inkarnasi.
