Penjagaan paliatif adalah bidang penjagaan kesihatan yang memberi tumpuan kepada melegakan dan mencegah penderitaan pesakit. Ubat-ubatan dan rawatan dikatakan mempunyai kesan paliatif sekiranya ia melegakan gejala tanpa kesan penyembuhan pada penyakit atau penyebab yang mendasari. Ini termasuk merawat loya yang berkaitan dengan kemoterapi atau sesuatu yang semudah morfin untuk merawat kesakitan patah kaki atau ibuprofen untuk merawat sakit yang berkaitan dengan jangkitan influenza.
