Famili pater, juga ditulis sebagai paterfamilias, adalah ketua keluarga Rom. Paterfamilias adalah lelaki hidup tertua dalam rumahtangga, dia mempunyai kawalan sepenuhnya kepada semua ahli keluarga sehingga dia meninggal dunia. Apabila paterfamilias meninggal, lelaki tertua berikutnya akan mempunyai kawalan. Istilah ini adalah bahasa Latin untuk "bapa keluarga" atau "pemilik harta keluarga".
