Dalam terminologi ketenteraan, piket (secara kuno, picquet, merujuk kepada askar atau tentera yang ditempatkan di hadapan garis depan suatu kedudukan untuk memberi amaran terhadap pendahuluan musuh. Ia juga boleh merujuk kepada mana-mana unit (misalnya, pesawat atau kapal) Istilah ini berasal dari bahasa Inggeris, yang berasal dari sebelum 1735 dan mungkin jauh lebih awal.
