Perkataan piquetero adalah neologism di Sepanyol dari Argentina. Ia datang dari piquete, iaitu maksud khusus sebagai demonstrasi berdiri atau berjalan demonstrasi di tempat yang penting. Piquetero adalah ahli puak politik yang modus operandi utama didasarkan pada piquete. The piquete adalah tindakan di mana sekumpulan orang menghalang jalan atau jalan dengan tujuan untuk menunjukkan dan memanggil perhatian mengenai isu atau permintaan tertentu.
