Sebuah jawatankuasa adalah sejenis perhimpunan kecil yang biasanya dimaksudkan untuk tetap menjadi bawahan kepada yang lain, perhimpunan yang lebih besar - ketika diorganisir sehingga tindakan atas komite memerlukan suara oleh semua anggota yang berhak, disebut "Komite Seluruh". Sebagai contoh kes kemudian, Lembaga pengarah sering boleh memasuki kontrak mengikat dan membuat keputusan yang pernah diambil atau dibuat, tidak boleh diambil balik atau dibatalkan di bawah undang-undang. ▪ Penyelarasan: individu dari pelbagai organisasi boleh bertemu secara rutin untuk membincangkan perkembangan di kawasan masing-masing, mengkaji semula projek yang memotong sempadan organisasi, bercakap tentang pilihan masa depan, dan lain-lain.
