Nama Presiden Penggunaan yang betul adalah subjek perdebatan. Ia difahami sebagai "melalui agensi" dan "bagi pihak". Alasannya adalah bahawa pengertian frasa per procurationem samar-samar jika digunakan dengan nama Inggeris yang tidak dapat dipertikaikan. Procuratio berkaitan dengan perkataan "pro" dan "cura". Oleh itu, ia adalah sangat dekat dengan "agensi" - bertindak bukannya seseorang.
