Mengurangkan pengaturcaraan set dikurangkan, atau RISC, adalah strategi reka bentuk CPU berdasarkan wawasan yang menetapkan instruksi yang dipermudahkan menyediakan prestasi yang lebih tinggi apabila digabungkan dengan seni bina mikropemproses yang mampu melaksanakan arahan tersebut dengan menggunakan kitaran mikroprosesor yang kurang setiap arahan. Komputer berasaskan strategi ini adalah komputer set arahan yang dikurangkan, juga dipanggil RISC. Senibina menentang dipanggil pengkomputeran set arahan yang kompleks, iaitu CISC. Pelbagai cadangan telah dibuat mengenai definisi RISC yang tepat, tetapi konsep umum ialah sistem yang menggunakan set arahan yang kecil dan sangat dioptimumkan, dan bukan satu set instruksi yang lebih khusus yang sering dijumpai dalam jenis-jenis seni bina yang lain. Satu lagi ciri umum ialah sistem RISC menggunakan arkitek beban / kedai, di mana ingatan biasanya diakses hanya melalui arahan tertentu, dan bukannya diakses sebagai sebahagian daripada arahan lain seperti menambah. Walaupun beberapa sistem dari 1960-an dan 70-an telah dikenalpasti sebagai pelopor RISC, versi reka bentuk moden pada tahun 1980-an.
