Sharpeville adalah sebuah bandar yang terletak di antara dua bandar perindustrian besar Vanderbijlpark dan Vereeniging di selatan Gauteng, Sharpeville adalah salah satu daripada enam bandar tertua di Segitiga Vaal. Ia dinamakan sempena John Lillie Sharpe yang datang ke Afrika Selatan dari Glasgow, Scotland, sebagai setiausaha Stewarts \u0026 amp; Lloyds.
