Theca
A theca merujuk kepada sebarang kes, penutup, atau sarung. Dalam botani, theca of angiosperm terdiri daripada sepasang microsporangia yang bersebelahan antara satu sama lain dan berkongsi kawasan umum yang disebut sebagai stomium. Mana-mana sebahagian daripada microsporophyll yang menanggung microsporangia dipanggil anter. Kebanyakan anthers terbentuk di puncak filamen. Anther dan filamennya bersama membentuk stamen biasa, sebahagian daripada organ bunga lelaki. Anther tipikal adalah bilocular, iaitu ia terdiri daripada dua thecae. Setiap theca mengandungi dua mikrosporangia, juga dikenali sebagai kantung serbuk sari. Mikrosporangia menghasilkan mikroskop, yang untuk tumbuhan benih dikenali sebagai bijirin debunga. Sekiranya kantung serbuk sari tidak bersebelahan, atau jika mereka membuka secara berasingan, maka tidak ada thecae yang terbentuk. Dalam Lauraceae, contohnya, kantung serbuk sari dipisahkan dan dibuka secara bebas. Tisu antara locules dan sel dipanggil penyambung dan parenchyma. Kedua-dua kantung serbuk sari dipisahkan oleh stomium. Apabila anter sedang menyiram, ia akan dibuka di stomium. Sel-sel luar theca membentuk epidermis. Di bawah epidermis, sel somatik membentuk tapetum.
