Hertz merupakan unit SI bagi kuantiti frekuensi dalam bidang fizik. 1 Hz adalah sama dengan 1 s-1, iaitu jumlah peristiwa berulang dalam sesaat. Kekerapan peristiwa yang bukan berulang tidak boleh diukur dalam hertz. Contohnya, keaktifan bahan radioaktif diukur dalam becquerel, yang juga sama dengan s-1. Unit hertz dinamakan bersempena Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, seorang ahli fizik Jerman yang memberi sumbangan penting dalam keelektromagnetan.
