Dalam geografi, sebuah wahah adalah sebuah kawasan terpencil kehijauan di sebuah gurun, biasanya mengeliling sebuah mata air atau sumber air yang mirip. Wahah juga memberikan habitat untuk haiwan dan manusia jika kawasan itu cukup besar. Lokasi wahah telah menjadi kepentingan kritikal untuk jalan perdagangan dan angkutan di kawasan-kawasan gurun. Kabilah-kabilah harus mengambara melalui wahah supaya bekalan air dan makanan dapat ditambah. Oleh itu, kawalan politik atau ketenteraan sebuah wahah telah dalam banyak perkara bermakna kawalan perdagangan pada jalan yang khusus. Contohnya, wahah Awjila, Ghadames dan Kufra, terletak di Libya hari ini, telah pada pelbagai kali menjadi penting pada perdagangan di Sahara Utara-Selatan dan Timur-Barat. Wahah dibentuk dari sungai bawah tanah atau akuifer seperti sebuah artesian aquifer, di mana air dapat mencapai permukaan secara semlajadi oleh tekanan atau perigi-perigi dibina manusia. Occasional brief thunderstorms provide subterranean water to sustain natural oases, such as the Tuat.
