Istilah ini boleh merujuk kepada: ▪ Franc, rakyat kepunyaan orang Jerman Barat ▪ Empayar Frank yang diasaskan oleh Carol the Great, yang kemudiannya dibahagikan kepada "Kerajaan Franks Timur" dan "Kerajaan Franks Barat" franc, dari benih varieti yang ditanam dari pokok buah-buahan, yang merupakan spesies yang sama seperti rasuah tetapi tidak mempunyai ciri yang sama.
