Maun adalah nama generik yang diberikan kepada hutan gelap pelbagai spesies, dengan nama diberikan kepada pokok pokok mahogany Swietenia atau Swietenia macrophylla. Hari ini, semua spesies kepunyaan Swietenia dilindungi. Mahogany adalah sejenis kayu tanpa gentian rata, liang dan lubang. Ia adalah warna coklat kemerahan yang mencapai kecemerlangan kemerahan dari masa ke masa, gelap dan dipernis. Ia adalah pokok berharga yang lebih disukai dalam membuat perabot kerana mudah diproses dan tahan lama. Terdapat banyak pokok mahogani di bandar Mersin Anamur.
