Sperma, atau spermatozoon dengan nama ilmiahnya yang lengkap, adalah sel reproduksi lelaki individu. Pengeluaran sel-sel ini, yang terbentuk dalam testis, bermula pada masa remaja. Di kepala persenyawaan, maklumat keturunan dipindahkan ke telur. Terdapat ekor dan gerakan itu. Sekitar 150-200 juta sperma dibebaskan semasa kawin. Walau bagaimanapun, telur boleh menyuburkan hanya satu sperma. Apabila sperma mencapai sel telur, ia meninggalkan ekor di luar untuk memasuki telur, melalui sampul telur dan menghantar maklumat keturunan kepada telur. Sperma terkandung dalam cecair tebal. Cecair ini dipanggil air mani atau ersuyu. Kepala sperma seperti nukleus sel. Teruskan maklumat keturunan di dalamnya. Ia mempunyai kod genetik dan DNA di dalamnya. Apabila mereka bertelur, kromosom berlipat ganda dan jantina ditentukan dengan sewajarnya. Kromosom berlaku dalam satu jantina tunggal, dan jantina individu dilahirkan pada masa pembahagian. Separuh sperma adalah X dan separuh lagi adalah kromosom Y.
