Antinomianizm
W chrześcijaństwie antyinomian to "ten, kto utrzymuje, że w ramach ewangelicznej dyspensy łaski prawo moralne nie jest użyteczne ani obowiązkowe, ponieważ sama wiara jest konieczna do zbawienia". Wielu antynomian uważa jednak, że chrześcijanie będą przestrzegać prawa moralnego pomimo ich wolności. Rozróżnienie antinomian i innych chrześcijańskich poglądów na prawo moralne polega na tym, że antynomowie wierzą, że posłuszeństwo prawu jest motywowane wewnętrzną zasadą płynącą z wiary, a nie zewnętrznego przymusu. Termin antynomianizm pojawił się niedługo po Reformacji Protestanckiej i był historycznie używany jako pejoratywny przeciw chrześcijaninom myślicieli lub sekciom, którzy niosą wiarę bardziej uzasadniającą niż zwykła tradycja. Antinomianizm w dzisiejszych czasach jest powszechnie postrzegany jako teologiczny przeciwstawny do prawości lub pracy sprawiedliwość, pojęcie, że posłuszeństwo wobec prawa religijnego zbywa zbawienie. To powoduje, że antinomianizm jest przesadą uzasadnienia tylko przez wiarę. Przykładami są krytyka antynomii Marii Luthera i sporu Antinomian z XVII w. Massachusetts Bay Colony.
