Audiometr jest urządzeniem służącym do oceny utraty słuchu. Audiometry są standardowym wyposażeniem w klinikach ENT iw centrach audiologii. Zwykle składają się z wbudowanej jednostki sprzętowej połączonej z dwiema słuchawkami i przyciskiem informacyjnym o badanym obiekcie, czasem kontrolowanym przez standardowy komputer PC. Badanie przesiewowe Audiometry komputerowe wykorzystują standardowy komputer i mogą być prowadzone przez kogokolwiek w domu w celu przetestowania ich słuchu, chociaż ich dokładność nie jest tak wysoka ze względu na brak standardu do kalibracji. Niektóre z tych audiometrów są nawet dostępne na ręcznym urządzeniu z systemem Windows. Kliniczne audiometry komputerowe są na ogół droższe niż audiometry oprogramowania, ale są bardziej dokładne i skuteczne. Są najczęściej stosowane w szpitalach, centrach audiologii i środowiskach badawczych. Te audiometry są również wykorzystywane do prowadzenia przemysłowych testów audiometrycznych.
