Austenityczna stal nierdzewna
Stal nierdzewna może być klasyfikowana według ich struktur krystalicznych na trzy główne typy: austenityczność, ferrytyczna i martenzytyczna. Stale austenityczne mają austenit jako główną fazę. Austenityczna stal nierdzewna może być testowana w sposób nieniszczący przy użyciu metody inspekcji penetracji barwników, ale nie metodą inspekcji cząstek magnetycznych. Mogą być również stosowane testy wiroprądowe. Podstawowa stal nierdzewna stosowana w budownictwie lotniczym. Odczynniki chemiczne i hutnicze: 308 308 L, 316 316 L, 316 LN Nitrogen bearing, 312, 309 L, 310 L L oznacza procenty emisji węgla poniżej 3,0% wykorzystywane głównie do odporności na korozję cieplną. wykorzystywane są również procesy GMAW, FCW, SAW.
