Obróbka diamentowa to praktyka polegająca na zmianie diamentu z surowego kamienia na klejnot. Cięcie diament wymaga specjalistycznej wiedzy, narzędzi, sprzętu i technik ze względu na jego ogromne trudności. Pierwszy wielki rozwój diamentowego cięcia przyniósł "Point Cut" w drugiej połowie XIV wieku: Point Cut przebiega zgodnie z naturalnym kształtem diamentowego kryształu ośmioliczbowego, eliminując niektóre straty w procesie cięcia.
