Słownik
Słownik to zebranie słów w jednym lub kilku konkretnych językach, często wymienione alfabetycznie, z wykorzystaniem informacji, definicji, etymologii, fonetyki, wymowy, tłumaczenia i innych informacji; lub książkę słów w jednym języku z ich odpowiednikami w innym, znanym również jako leksykon. Według Nielsena słownik można uznać za produkt leksykograficzny, który charakteryzuje się trzema istotnymi cechami: został przygotowany na jedną lub więcej funkcji; zawiera dane, które zostały wybrane w celu wypełnienia tych funkcji; a jego leksykograficzne struktury łączą i ustanawiają relacje pomiędzy danymi, dzięki czemu mogą zaspokoić potrzeby użytkowników i spełniać funkcje słownika. Rozróżnia się ogólne słowniki ogólne i specjalistyczne. Słowniki specjalistyczne nie zawierają informacji o słowach, które są używane w języku ogólnym - słowach używanych przez zwykłych ludzi w codziennych sytuacjach.
