Efemeryda
W astronomii i niebiańskiej nawigacji, efemeryda (liczba mnoga: efemerydy, z łacińskich efemerydów ("pamiętnik"), z greckiego ἐφημερίς (ephēmeris, "pamiętnik, kalendarz")) daje pozycje naturalnie występujących obiektów astronomicznych oraz sztucznych satelitów w niebo w danym czasie lub godzinach. Historycznie pozycje zostały podane w postaci drukowanych tabel wartości, podawanych w regularnych odstępach czasu. Współczesne efemerydy są często obliczane elektronicznie z matematycznych modeli ruchu obiektów astronomicznych i Ziemi. Pomimo tego, że obliczenie tych tabel było jednym z pierwszych zastosowań komputerów mechanicznych, drukowane efemerydy nadal są produkowane, ponieważ są użyteczne, gdy urządzenia obliczeniowe nie są dostępne. Położenie astronomiczne wyliczone na efemerydach jest podane w sferycznym polarnym układzie współrzędnych właściwego wznoszenia i deklinacji.

Pierwszą definicją efemeryd w słowniku jest tabela dająca przyszłe pozycje planety, komety lub satelity. Inną definicją efemeryd jest coroczna publikacja dająca pozycje słońca, księżyca i planet w ciągu roku, informacje dotyczące zaćmień, stałych astronomicznych, itp. Efemerydy to również pamiętnik lub almanach.
