Iguana
Iguana jest rodzajem jaszczurników roślinożernych, pochodzących z tropikalnych obszarów Meksyku, Ameryki Środkowej, kilku wysp na Polinezji, takich jak Fidżi i Tonga oraz na Karaibach. Rodzaj został po raz pierwszy opisany w roku 1768 przez austriackiego przyrodnika Josephusa Nicolausa Laurenti w jego książce Specimen Medicum, Exhibens Synopsis Reptilium Emendatam cum Experimentis o Venena.
