Impleader
Impleader jest urządzeniem proceduralnym przed procesem, w którym jedna ze stron przystępuje do osoby trzeciej w postępowaniu sądowym, ponieważ osoba trzecia podlega pierwotnemu pozwanemu. Używając słownictwa Federalnego Przepisu Postępowania Cywilnego, pozwany chce zostać stroną trzecią, składając skargę osoby trzeciej na osobę trzecią, która nie jest stroną w postępowaniu, a tym samym staje się stroną trzecią. Na przykład w przypadku, gdy kierowca zamontował inny samochód z powodu wadliwego hamulca i został pozwany przez ofiarę wypadku, kierowca może zdecydować się na wprowadzenie sklepu naprawczego, w którym pracowano hamulce, ponieważ odpowiedzialność kierowcy wynika z naprawy odpowiedzialność sklepu za wadliwą naprawę hamulców.
