Mikrosom
W biologii komórkowej mikrosomy są artefaktami podobnymi do pęcherzyków, które powstają z kawałków retikulum endoplazmatycznego, gdy komórki eukariotyczne są rozbijane w laboratorium; z definicji, mikrosomy nie są zwykle obecne w żywych komórkach. Mikrosomy mogą być skoncentrowane i oddzielone od innych komórkowych resztek przez wirowanie różnicowe. Niezgryte komórki, jądra i mitochondria osad wydobywano przy 10 000 g, podczas gdy rozpuszczalne enzymy i fragmentaryczną ER, która zawiera cytochrom P450, pozostają w roztworze.
