Patologia (od starożytnych greckich korzeni patosu (πάθος), czyli "doświadczenie" lub "cierpienie", oraz -logia (-λογία), "relacja") jest istotnym elementem badania przyczynowego choroby i głównych dziedzin w nowoczesnej praktyce medycznej i diagnozie.
