Tworzy serię roztworów stałych z analcymem. Krystalizuje się w izometrycznym heksozoficznym układzie krystalicznym w postaci bezbarwnych, białych, szarych lub rzadko różowych i niebieskich mas. Dobrze ukształtowane kryształy są rzadkie. Ma twardość Mohsa 6,5 i gęstość 2,9. Ma krucho pęknięcia i brak cięcia.
