Praecipe
Zgodnie z prawem w Stanach Zjednoczonych, praecipe jest dokumentem nakłaniającym pozwanego do pojawienia się i pokazania przyczyny, dla której nie należy wykonywać czynów ani rzeczy; lub prosi urzędnika sądowego o wydanie nakazu i określenie jego treści. W Kanadzie jest ona stosowana zamiast wezwania do rozpatrzenia wniosku o nakaz sądowy przyznawany w rejestrze sądowym bez przesłuchania przed sędzią. Jednak w Stanach Zjednoczonych urzędnicy są różnie ograniczeni do zajmowania się drobnymi nakazami w imię Trybunału.
