Pteropoda
Pteropoda jest pojęciem stosowanym do obecnie uważanych za dwie odrębne grupy taksonomiczne wyspecjalizowanych specjalistycznych ślimaków morskich i ślimaków morskich, ślimaków morskich opisthobranch. Słowo "Pteropoda" nie ma już naukowo dokładnego zastosowania, ale nazwa "pteropods" jest czasem używana jako wygoda. Słowo jest stosowane zarówno do motyli morskich w clade Thecosomata, a także do aniołów morskich w clade Gymnosomata. Thecosomata ma powłokę, a Gymnosomata nie. Obie klony są w rzeczywistości nie bardzo ściśle powiązane, pomimo powierzchownego podobieństwa, ponieważ są one zarówno pelagiczne, małe, jak i przezroczyste, a obie grupy pływają przy użyciu skrzydłowych klapek, które wystają z ich ciał.
