Krameria jest jedynym rodzajem z rodziny Krameriaceae, z czego około 17 gatunków jest powszechnie znane jako Rhatany, ratany lub rattany. Kwiaty mają gruczoły zwane elaiophores, które wytwarzają lipid, który jest zbierany przez pszczoły z rodzaju Centris, gdy zapylają kwiaty.
