Jeśli obciążenie jest równomiernie podzielone na dwa kierunki, prąd w każdym kierunku jest równy połowie sumy, co umożliwia użycie przewodu o połowę niższej pojemności. W praktyce obciążenie nie zawsze jest równomiernie rozłożone, więc użyto grubszego drutu.
