Sowietyzacja
Sowietyzacja jest terminem, który może być użyty z dwoma odrębnymi znaczeniami: ▪ przyjęcie systemu politycznego opartego na modelu sowietów. ▪ przyjęcie stylu życia i mentalności modelowanej po Związku Radzieckim. Słynna fala radziezmu nastąpiła w czasie i po II wojnie światowej w Europie Wschodniej. W szerokim znaczeniu obejmowało to przyjęcie radzieckich instytucji, praw, zwyczajów, tradycji i sowieckiego stylu życia, zarówno na szczeblu krajowym, jak iw mniejszych społecznościach. Zazwyczaj propagowano je i przyspieszyło propagandą mającą na celu stworzenie wspólnego stylu życia we wszystkich państwach w radzieckim sferze wpływów. W wielu przypadkach sowieccemu towarzyszył także wymuszony przesiedlenie dużych kategorii "klasowych wrogów" do obozów pracy gulagów i osiedli wygnanych. W wąskim sensie pojęcie sowieckie często stosuje się do zmian mentalnych i społecznych w obrębie populacji Związku Radzieckiego i ich satelitów, które doprowadziły do powstania nowego sowieckiego człowieka lub Homo Sovieticus.
