Obóz zagłady w Treblince
Treblinka była obozem zagłady [a] zbudowanym przez hitlerowskie Niemcy w okupowanej Polsce w czasie II wojny światowej [2]. Znajduje się w pobliżu miejscowości Treblinka we współczesnym województwie mazowieckim, na północny wschód od Warszawy. Obóz funkcjonował oficjalnie w dniach 23 lipca 1942 r. I 19 października 1943 r. W ramach operacji Reinhard, najbardziej śmiertelnej fazie ostatecznego rozwiązania [3]. W tym czasie szacuje się, że w jego komórkach gazowych zmarło gdzieś pomiędzy 800 000 [5] [6] [7] a 120000 osób [8] [9] [9] [9] [9] [9] [9]. ] W obozowisku zarządzanym przez niemieckich SS i wschodnioeuropejskich Trawnikis składały się dwa odrębne jednostki: Treblinka I i obóz zagłady w Treblince II. Pierwszy był obozem pracy przymusowej, którego więźniowie pracowali w żwirowni lub w strefie nawadniania iw lesie, gdzie wyciął drewno, aby podgrzewać krematoria. W latach 1941-1944 ponad połowa ze swoich 20 000 więźniów zmarła w wyniku podsumowania egzekucji, głodu, choroby i znęcania się [12]. [13] Drugi obóz, Treblinka II, został zaprojektowany wyłącznie do eksterminacji.
