Bacalhau azul, Parapercis colias, é um peixe marinho temperado da família Pinguipedidae. Também é conhecido como o bacalhau azul de Boston, bacalhau da Nova Zelândia, perca de areia ou seus nomes maori rawaru e pakirikiri. É encontrado exclusivamente na Nova Zelândia em águas rasas ao redor das costas rochosas até a profundidade de 150 m, embora seja muito mais comum ao sul do Estreito de Cook. É verde azulado para preto azul acima com branco em direção à barriga. Grandes exemplos são geralmente de cor esverdeada em coloração, enquanto os mais pequenos são manchados em diferentes tons de marrom. Um adulto pode crescer até 60 cm de comprimento e pesar de um a três kg. Ele se alimenta principalmente de pequenos peixes e caranguejos. O bacalhau azul é fortemente territorial. O nascimento ocorre no sul da primavera. O bacalhau azul também pode mudar o sexo de uma mulher para outra. É um peixe gordo que produz bons filetes, mas tem um teor de óleo muito baixo. Pode ser servido maltratado, amassado, pan frito ou assado. É uma importante espécie recreativa na Ilha do Sul e é comercialmente colhida.
