A bronquiectasia é uma doença onde há um aumento permanente das partes das vias aéreas do pulmão. [1] Os sintomas tipicamente incluem uma tosse crônica com produção de escarro. [2] Outros sintomas incluem falta de ar, tosse sangue e dor torácica. [1] Podem também ocorrer sibilos e clubes de unhas. Aqueles com a doença muitas vezes recebem infecções pulmonares freqüentes.
