Cominform
Fundada em 1947, "Cominform" é o nome comum para o que foi oficialmente referido como o Gabinete de Informação dos Partidos Comunistas e Trabalhadores. Foi o primeiro fórum oficial do movimento comunista internacional desde a dissolução dos Comintern, e confirmou as novas realidades após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, incluindo a criação de um Bloco do Leste. Cominform era uma organização dominada pelos soviéticos de partidos comunistas fundada em setembro de 1947 em uma conferência de líderes do Partido Comunista em Szklarska Poręba, na Polônia. O líder soviético Josef Stalin convocou a conferência em resposta a divergências entre governos comunistas sobre a participação ou não da Conferência de Paris sobre Marshall Aid em julho de 1947. O Cominform foi inicialmente localizado em Belgrado. Após a expulsão da Iugoslávia do grupo em junho de 1948, o assento foi movido para Bucareste, na Romênia. A expulsão do Partido Comunista da Iugoslávia do Cominform para o Titoismo iniciou o período Informbiro na história desse país. O objetivo proposto do Cominform era coordenar ações entre partidos comunistas sob direção soviética.
