Corrente de Foucault
As correntes de Foucault são correntes elétricas induzidas nos condutores por um campo magnético em mudança no condutor. Esses redemoinhos circulantes de corrente possuem indutância e, portanto, induzem campos magnéticos. Esses campos podem causar efeitos de repulsão, atração, propulsão, arrasto e aquecimento. Quanto mais forte o campo magnético aplicado, maior a condutividade elétrica do condutor, e quanto mais rápido o campo muda, maiores são as correntes que são desenvolvidas e maiores os campos produzidos.
