Edward I da Inglaterra
Edward I, também conhecido como Edward Longshanks e Hammer of the Scots, foi o rei da Inglaterra de 1272 a 1307. O primeiro filho de Henry III, Edward, estava envolvido no início das intrigas políticas do reinado de seu pai, que incluía uma rebelião absoluta por os barões ingleses. Em 1259, ele se aproximou brevemente de um movimento de reforma baronial, apoiando as Disposições de Oxford. Após a reconciliação com seu pai, no entanto, ele permaneceu leal ao longo do conflito armado subseqüente, conhecido como Segunda Guerra dos Barões.
