Reação de Grignard
A reacção de Grignard é uma reacção química organometálica em que os halogenetos de alquilo, vinilo ou aril-magnésio se adicionam a um grupo carbonilo num aldeído ou cetona. Esta reação é uma ferramenta importante para a formação de ligações carbono-carbono. A reação de um halogeneto orgânico com magnésio não é uma reação de Grignard, mas fornece um reagente de Grignard. As reações e reagentes de Grignard foram descobertas pelo nome do orgão francês François Auguste Victor Grignard, que recebeu o Prêmio Nobel de Química de 1912 para este trabalho. Os reagentes de Grignard são semelhantes aos reagentes de organolítio porque ambos são nucleófilos fortes que podem formar novas ligações carbono-carbono.
