A síndrome da Guerra do Golfo, também conhecida como doença da Guerra do Golfo, é um distúrbio multisímptico crônico que afeta o retorno de veteranos militares e trabalhadores civis da Guerra do Golfo. Foi associada uma ampla gama de sintomas agudos e crônicos, incluindo fadiga, dor muscular, problemas cognitivos, erupções cutâneas e diarréia. Aproximadamente 250 mil dos 697 mil veteranos dos EUA que serviram na Guerra do Golfo de 1991 são atingidos por doenças crônicas crônicas persistentes, uma condição com graves conseqüências. De 1995 a 2005, a saúde dos veteranos de combate piorou em comparação com os veteranos não empregados, com o início de novas doenças crônicas, deficiência funcional, visitas repetidas à clínica e hospitalizações, doença da síndrome da fadiga crônica, distúrbio de estresse pós-traumático e maior persistência de incidentes adversos para a saúde. As causas sugeridas incluíram urânio empobrecido, gás sarin, fumo de poços de petróleo queimados, vacinas, estresse de combate e fatores psicológicos.
