Em matemática, a interseção de dois ou mais objetos é outro, geralmente objeto "menor". Todos os objetos são presumidos em algum espaço comum, exceto para a teoria do conjunto onde a interseção de conjuntos arbitrários é definida. É um dos conceitos básicos de geometria. Intuitivamente, a interseção de dois ou mais objetos é um novo objeto que se encontra em cada um dos objetos originais. É sempre definido, mas pode estar vazio. A geometria de incidência define uma interseção como um objeto de dimensão inferior que é incidente para cada um dos objetos originais. Nesta abordagem, uma interseção pode às vezes ser indefinida, como por linhas paralelas. Em ambos os casos, o conceito de interseção depende da conjunção lógica. A geometria algébrica define intersecções à sua maneira com a teoria da interseção.
