Banco móvel
O banco móvel é um sistema que permite aos clientes de uma instituição financeira realizar várias transações financeiras por meio de um dispositivo móvel, como um telefone móvel ou um tablet. O banco móvel difere dos pagamentos móveis, que envolvem o uso de um dispositivo móvel para pagar bens ou serviços no ponto de venda ou remotamente, análogamente ao uso de um cartão de débito ou de crédito para efetuar um pagamento EFTPOS. Com a introdução de telefones inteligentes com suporte WAP que permitem o uso da web móvel em 1999, os primeiros bancos europeus começaram a oferecer serviços bancários móveis nesta plataforma aos seus clientes. O banco bancário móvel até recentemente, mais frequentemente, foi realizado via SMS ou a web móvel. O sucesso inicial da Apple com o iPhone e o rápido crescimento de telefones baseados no Android do Google levaram ao uso crescente de programas de clientes especiais, chamados aplicativos, baixados para o dispositivo móvel. Com isso dito, os avanços nas tecnologias da web, como HTML5, CSS3 e JavaScript, viram mais bancos lançarem serviços baseados na web móvel para complementar aplicativos nativos.
