O QUE SIGNIFICA MULTIPOLARITY EM INGLÊS
Polaridade (relações internacionais)
A polaridade nas relações internacionais é uma das várias maneiras pelas quais o poder é distribuído no sistema internacional. Ele descreve a natureza do sistema internacional em um determinado período de tempo. Um geralmente distingue quatro tipos de sistemas: a unipolaridade, bipolaridade, tripolaridade e multipolaridade para quatro ou mais centros de poder. O tipo de sistema é completamente dependente da distribuição de poder e influência de estados em uma região ou globalmente. É amplamente acreditado entre os teóricos das relações internacionais que o sistema internacional pós-guerra fria é unipolar: os gastos de defesa dos Estados Unidos são "perto da metade das despesas militares globais; uma marinha azul-marinha superior a todos os outros combinados; uma chance de um esplêndido ataque nuclear em seu antigo inimigo, a Rússia; um orçamento de pesquisa e desenvolvimento de defesa que representa 80% das despesas de defesa total de seu concorrente futuro mais óbvio, a China; e capacidades globais incomparáveis de projeção de energia ".
