Netball
O Netball é um esporte de bola jogado por duas equipes de sete jogadores. O seu desenvolvimento, derivado das primeiras versões do basquetebol, começou na Inglaterra na década de 1890. Em 1960, as regras internacionais de jogo tinham sido padronizadas para o jogo, e a Federação Internacional de Netball e Women's Basketball (mais tarde renomeada a Federação Internacional de Netball (INF)) foi formada. A partir de 2011, o INF compreende mais de 60 equipes nacionais organizadas em cinco regiões globais. Os jogos são jogados em um tribunal retangular com anéis de objetivo levantados em cada extremidade. Cada equipe tenta marcar golos passando uma bola pelo tribunal e atirando em seu anel de gol. Os jogadores recebem posições específicas, que definem seus papéis dentro da equipe e restringem seus movimentos para certas áreas do tribunal. Durante o jogo geral, um jogador com a bola pode segurá-lo por apenas três segundos antes de disparar para um gol ou passar para outro jogador. O time vencedor é aquele que marca mais golos. Os jogos de Netball são 60 minutos de duração. As variações foram desenvolvidas para aumentar o ritmo do jogo e atrair um público mais amplo.
