As estatísticas paramétricas são um ramo de estatísticas que pressupõe que os dados vieram de um tipo de distribuição de probabilidade e faz inferências sobre os parâmetros da distribuição. A maioria dos métodos estatísticos elementares bem conhecidos são paramétricos. Geralmente, os métodos paramétricos fazem mais suposições do que métodos não-paramétricos.
