Em estatísticas, o coeficiente de correlação produto-momento de Pearson é uma medida da correlação linear entre duas variáveis X e Y, dando um valor entre +1 e -1 inclusive, onde 1 é correlação positiva total, 0 não é correlação e -1 é uma correlação negativa total. É amplamente utilizado nas ciências como uma medida do grau de dependência linear entre duas variáveis. Foi desenvolvido por Karl Pearson de uma idéia relacionada introduzida por Francis Galton na década de 1880.
