Phenocopy
Um fenocópio é uma variação no fenótipo que é causada por condições ambientais, de modo que o fenótipo do organismo corresponde a um fenótipo que é determinado por fatores genéticos. Não é um tipo de mutação, pois não é hereditária. O termo foi cunhado por Richard Goldschmidt em 1935. Ele usou isso para se referir a formas, produzidas por algum procedimento experimental, cuja aparência duplicou ou copia o fenótipo de algum mutante ou combinação de mutantes.
