Pisolite
Uma pisolita é uma rocha sedimentar composta de sedimentos, que são grãos concretizados - muitas vezes de carbonato de cálcio, mas às vezes de minerais raros - que se assemelham a oóides, mas que têm sempre mais de 2 mm de diâmetro. Esses grãos são aproximadamente esféricos e possuem camadas concêntricas de 10 mm de diâmetro. O nome deriva da palavra helênica para as ervilhas. Bauxites, limonitas e siderites muitas vezes têm uma estrutura pisolítica.
