Notação posicional
Notação de posição ou notação de valor de lugar é um método para representar ou codificar números. A notação de posição é distinguida de outras anotações pelo uso do mesmo símbolo para diferentes ordens de grandeza. Esta aritmética bastante simplificada levou à disseminação rápida da notação em todo o mundo.
