Controle de preços
Os controles de preços são restrições governamentais sobre os preços que podem ser cobrados por bens e serviços em um mercado. A intenção por trás da implementação de tais controles pode resultar do desejo de manter a acessibilidade de alimentos básicos e bens, para evitar o aumento de preços durante a falta e diminuir a inflação, ou, alternativamente, para garantir um rendimento mínimo para os prestadores de determinados bens ou um salário mínimo . Historicamente, os controles de preços geralmente foram impostos como parte de um pacote de políticas de renda maior que também emprega controles salariais e outros elementos regulatórios. Embora os governos avaliem os controles de preços, os economistas costumam concordar que os controles de preços não realizam o que eles pretendem fazer e geralmente devem ser evitados.
